Tet in Vietnam

Tet Holiday is one of the remarkable days in Vietnam when friends wish lucks to each other, kids wish old people good health and adults wish kids eating more and growing fast.

In Tet Holiday, the children have lots of lucky money that we call "li xi". But sometimes, old people got "li xi", too. Well, poor the middle-aged people, they have to give lucky money for the kids and the adults, but no one gave them lucky money. By the way, I think they still got presents and wishes from their friends and family, so they are still happy, like my parents.^o^

Ok, Those things above are enough about money, now let's change the subject to flowers. The pictures that you are seeing below are "hoa mai"- the yellow flowers and "hoa dao"- the pink flowers. Those flowers cannot be missed in Tet. "Hoa Mai" is the symbol of the Tet festival in the South and "Hoa Dao" is the one in the North. Between those special flowers, the Vietnamese also have special food called "banh chung". It is made of sticky rice, green beans and pork, wraped by banana leaves . It's very delicious. In Tet holiday the the streets are very busy with lots of people buying their flowers and "banh chung".

Well, by the way, I hope you gonna have a great holiday with your family and I wish you will have lots of "li xi". I'm still waiting for the lucky money!!!!!!$$$$$$$$$
